WHAT IS VIBROACOUSTIC THERAPY (WaterBedTM)

Our “Liquid Sound” table which uses a water-filled bladder to transmit sound waves through your body. Some healing selections are designed to be experienced through headphones while other healing selections are “heard” only through your body. We will guide you through your selection of sounds based on your specific needs.

Our liquid sound table assists with managing PTSD, stress, pain, anxiety and insomnia, as well as promoting an overall feeling of peace and relaxation. Some also say its like a dry float therapy session.

While the descriptions above are for three distinctly different therapies, there are enough similarities to capture them in one Q & A. Each of these therapies can be done in 15- 45-minute sessions and are done while fully clothed allowing the recipient to get in and out in a short time.

FAQs

At Float District we use a Liquid Sound table equipped with transducers which convert music into vibrations which travel through the liquid sound table and into your body resulting in an experience that is difficult to describe. Specific wavelengths of sound have differing effects on you. We have a selection of several music pieces created specifically for VAT and you may select your choice based upon what you would like to get out of your session. Some of our pain management selections include: Dystonia – spasm easing; MS; migraine; PTS; Arthro; Osteo; Fibromyalgia and more. You will be laying on a table (much like a massage table) with a water filled bladder instead of foam. You have the option of just relaxing to the vibroacoustic, or you can listen to music through provided headphones at the same time.

After these 40 years of research, vibroacoustic therapy has shown positive results in treating many problems including:
